Coxing

Rowing is not the only way to get involved with RUMSBC! Our coxes are essential to the success of our club.

The role of the cox is to steer the boat, make commands and ensure the safety of the crew during outings. You also get to shout a lot during races!

The club currently has a good mix of experienced and novice coxes, but we are always keen to hear from anyone who would like to give it a go! You don't need any previous experience, we teach you all you need to know. If you're confident and up for the challenge of taking control of eight unruly rowers get involved!
